Who knew croutons could be so easy?
Have you ever been making a salad and realize you don't have all the ingredients you want in a salad? Have you noticed the price of good croutons is a tad pricey? Did you know that making your own croutons is extremely easy and cheap? I experimented making my own croutons and was quite surprised and pleased on how they turned out.
Ingredients you’ll:
½ Cup Olive Oil (or more depending on how many pieces a bread you are using)
Seasons of your choice (I used Italian seasoning)
6 – 8 Pieces of bread of your choice
To Make:
Heat oven to 300ºF
Mix the olive oil and seasonings in a bowl with a whisk.
Brush the oil mixture on both sides of the pieces of bread.
Cut the bread into the desired size croutons.
Bake in the oven for 30 – 45 minutes. This time varies depending on how thick you put the oil on the bread and how big your pieces of croutons are. I highly recommend monitoring your croutons to prevent burning.
Cool and store.
Picture's will be coming soon!
